EYECARE FOR AVOIDABLE BLINDNESS
Rotary club of Calcutta Yuvis organised Eye screening Camps for Free IOL surgeries under its project namely “” VISION FOR ALL””. We have done 2264 Eye Surgeries in the Rotary Year 2019-20 and till date we have successfully completed more than 21000 surgeries. Areas covered are Joynagar, Dakshin Barasat, Khardah, Rishra, Murshidabad etc. The strike rate is about 25 %. Thus for 2264 surgeries approximate number of screenings will be 9100 and each camp have screening in the range of 100 to 125 patients, considering that we can comfortably say that the 9100 odd screenings were done at 76 screening camps so far. Surgeries were conducted at Rotary Joynagar Eye Hospital, Rotary Dakshin Barasat Eye Hospital, Rotary Hooghly Eye Hospital, Rotary Beldanga Eye Hospital and MP Birla Eye Hospital. In addition to this we have given 1 OCT machine to Rotary Beldanga Eye Hospital costing Rs. 28 Lakhs under GG#1990800. It was inaugurated at the Rotary Hospital on 25th February, 2020 by DG Rtn. Ajay Agarwal. This project will immensely benefit the people of Murshidabad.
