Late Rtn. Khatau Sundardas, Late Rtn. Gajanand Agarwal & PDG Rtn. Dr. Sukumar Das who have served Rotary for more than 60 years. Rtn. Khatau Sundardas has been awarded with Rotary’s highest honour i.e. ‘Service Aboveself’ award. These veterans have nurtured & ensured the growth of Rotary Club of Cuttack as the Light house Club of the then R.I. District 326 & 3260.

In order to provide Health care to the poor & needy we organise Health check-up camps & special camps for mother & infants & nutrition. We also have a permanent health care project i.e. a dispensary where the poor & needy are given free treatment & medicines in both allopathic & homeopathy.



In Consonance with Rotary Internationals emphasis a on clean & green environment, our Club has always endeavoured to plant trees in different areas in & around Cuttack.


In order to promote R.I.’s concern for total literacy our Club has over the years always endeavoured to promote literacy by distributing free books, study materials & felicitating students who have excelled in various disciplines. In continuation of our efforts to promote literacy we have also set-up a school for imparting education to needy students at a very nominal fees.

We also encourage extracurricular activities of the new generation by organising Painting, Clay Modelling, Elocution & Debate competitions for students.


In our concern for the disabled & the physically challenged every year we donate Wheel chairs to the needy.


Our District’s & our Club’s pride Project JPM Rotary club of Cuttack Eye Hospital & Research Institute. A project 70% of the surgeries is conducted free for the poor & the needy. Continuing our concern for the destitute we have also set-up Sampatrai Rotary Club of Cuttack Senior Citizens Home, where the old & the un-wanted are given shelter, food & clothing.
