Projects / Plans for the Rotary Year

CLUB SERVICE

( Rtn. Sanjay Gupta )
  1. Acknowledging Members’ Marriage Anniversaries and Birthdays of Members, Annes, Children and Parents by sending Cards and Bouquets
  2. Recognizing the personal and professional achievements of Members, Spouses, kids and other close family members.
  3. 8th Installation Ceremony – Friday, 22nd June, 2018 at Princeton Club at 6.30pm.
  4. A 3 day Excursion/Diwali get together of Members with Family during November 2018.
  5. One ANNE/KIDS as a Speaker in one RWM every month.
  6. Attending District Conference January, 2019.
  7. DG Visit Thursday 15th March, 2019
  8. Annual Holi Meet ( March2019 ) ( Meet to be organized by Anns /Kids)
  9. Guest Speaker once in every month ( 20 minutes time)
  10. Debate / Discussion on any current Topic in any one RWM of the month.
  11. Publishing Monthly Club Bulletin “YUVIS”.
  12. Monthly Board Meetings at Regular Meeting Venue and at one of the Member’s Residence with Family once in every two month.
  13. Organizing Club Assembly and COTS in June,2018.
  14. At least 4 Goodwill Visits and 4 Joint meetings – Target Nepal, and Co-hosting 2 Dist. Events.
  15. Joint Meeting with all the Clubs of Zone XVI (AG Rtn.Abhijit Sengupta, ZS Rtn. Sheila Banerjee,
  16. Monthly Meetings with Rotary 5
  17. Membership Growth at least 10 to15% Growth and special emphasis on inducting Female Members.

  1. Organize a peace walk on the International peace day.
  2. Organize Seminars on International Relationship and matters of International Conflict.
  3. Upload Peace related matters on Rotary and Rotary Related sites

FOCUS AREA—DISEASE PREVENTION AND TREATMENT

  1. Organize IOL Screening camps preferably at new locations and execute the Surgeries under Global Grant.
  2. Organize Health Check up Camps, Immunization Camps specially Hepatitis B.
  3. Organize sports meet for special children.
  4. Distribution of Artificial Limb.
  5. Organize Heart Surgeries for poor and needy Children.
  6. Organize seminar and rally on Drug abused and cancer awareness.
  7. Organize Thalessemia Awareness Camp
  8. Organize Blood donation Camp

FOCUS AREA -- WATER AND SANITATION

  1. Providing Safe Drinking Water to Children of at least 100 Schools through CSR, HG & GG.
  2. Construction of at least 300+ new Toilets at needy Villages through District Grant/ Helping Grant and under CSR.
  3. Adopting certain localities to keep the Area clean with the help of local School Children and Unemployed Youth of the locality in coordination with Local Municipality –  New areas to be identified.

FOCUS AREA –MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH

  1. Organize Health check-up camps at Schools for under-privileged children.
  2.  Cervical Cancer Detection and Awareness, Polio Awareness, Child Heart Surgery under H2H
  3. Supporting the treatment of needy children on a case to case basis.
  4. Organize a Thalessemia Awareness Camp.
  5. Distribute vitamins, iron tablets and Fruits at needy Hospitals.

FOCUS AREA - BASIC EDUCATION AND LITERACY

( Rtn. Dilip Chowdhury )
  1. Focus on Employment Generation through Vocation Training like Computer Training, Sewing and Embroidery Training, Beautician Course, Driver’s training, Mechanic training, Nurse Training and Servicing of Water -Purifier etc.
  2. Tie up with Schools and Colleges in the underprivileged and less privileged areas to organize various Vocational Training for the interested students.
  3. Organize seminars and workshops for members, spouses and kids to help them improve in their personal and professional life.
  4. Have Speakers from diverse areas and fields to speak at Regular Meetings
  5. Providing Rickshaw Vans, Hand carts, Tools and small mechanical equipments for generating self employment.
  6. Felicitate and help needy Non Cricketing Sports Personalities.
  7. Providing Environment friendly Solar Lamps to needy families in suburbs.
  8. Awareness program for the member & masses to be a better and more civilized human being, propose a walk on the same. Also to prepare a write up on such awareness & Circulate to masses.
  9. Explore possibilities and take efforts towards increasing the horizon and ambit of each member’s individual efforts towards Community service, also effective channelization such individual initiatives through Rotary.
  10. Channelize the available resources in coordination with Govt. Agencies and other NGO’s should be the key to community service like providing Free Wheel Chairs, Artificial Limbs and calipers, Blankets and Mosquito Net Distribution, Free Eye Glasses, Free Tricycle to handicapped , Sewing Machines etc.
  11. Creation of a data bank for the recyclable materials lying with all the members, collection and distribution to the needy.
  12. Distribution of Fruit Tree Saplings.
  13. “Meet A Wish” Project for Terminally Ill Children with “Rotary 5”

INTERNATIONAL SERVICE

  1. To undertake and execute Internet based projects particularly towards Exchange of Information.
  2. Visit overseas Rotary Club Meetings and Projects whenever any of the member is visiting foreign country. Exchange Club Flag with them and explore the possibilities of Joint Project.
  3. Celebrating various International Days like International Men’s day/ Womens’ Day etc.
  4. Inviting Visiting Rotarians and other foreign personality from other Countries to our Club.
  5. Providing necessary assistance to Visitors of other Countries in our City.
  6. Contribute to the TRF a minimum of US$100 by each member.
  7. Promote MPHF / PHF and Major Donor.
  8. Apply for at least Two New Global Grant.

YOUTH SERVICE

  1. Career Counseling for School Children after Exam.
  2. Providing Training to Youth for development of Leadership Skill, providing Vocational opportunities and counseling.
  3. Recognizing and Felicitating Young Achievers in various fields of Sports/ Education/ Profession.
  4. Creation of a Book Bank for needy children
  5. Organize an Inter-school Quiz contest/ Sit and Draw art contest.

PUBLIC RELATIONS

  1. Publicity of various Club Projects through Electronic and Print Media, sending Club Bulletin to eminent personalities and Senior Govt. Officials of the Community
  2. Organize Community based Social Events to promote Rotary.
  3. Invite Community Personalities to Club Meetings and Projects to highlight the activities of Rotary.
  4. Publicize Rotary activities through Web media like Face Book, Twitter etc.
  5. Create Website of the Club
  6. Display Club activities Collage at various service project Venue.
