PRESIDENTS OF OUR CLUB SUCCESSION LIST
1945 - 46 - B.K.GOKHLE Rtn. Gokhle was a member of the Indian Civil Service. He was working in Patna in 1945-46, there was no Ministry in Orissa and the Province was under Governor's rule. Sri Gokhle came to Orissa as adviser to the Governor. He had experience of Rotary in Patna, Posted at Cuttack as Governor's adviser, he took initiative in starting the Rotary Club at Cuttack.
1946-47 - Dr. P.K.PARIJA Rtn. Dr. Parija belonged to the Indian Education Service. He was a charter member. He was the Principal of the Ravenshaw College, and there after became the Vice Chancellor of the Utkal University. He was the President of Indian National Science Congress.
1947 - 48 - Dr. HAREKRUSHNA MAHATAB Rtn. Mahatab was a Charter Member. He became the Chief Minister of the State of Orissa. Minister of the Union Cabinet and then Governor of Bombay.
1948 - 49 - L. PANIGRAHI Rtn. Lingaraj Panigrahi was a Charter Member. He became the Chief Justice of the Orissa High Court, then Minister of Orissa and then Vice-Chancellor of the Berhampur University.
1949 - 50 - L. PANIGRAHI Rtn. Panigrahi was the President of the Club for the second time.
1950 - 51 - N. SENAPATI Rtn. Senapati was a Charter Member. He belonged to the Indian Civil Service. He rose to the Position of Member, Board of Revenue, Orissa.
1951 - 52 - NITYANANDA KANUNGO Rtn. Kanungo was a Charter Member. He was Minister in Orissa. He went to the Union Ministry and then became the Governor of Gujarat and Bihar.
1952 - 53 - Dr. P.K.PARIJA A Charter Member, Rtn. Dr. Parija became the President for the second time.
1953 - 54 - V. RAMANATHAN Rtn. Ramanathan was a member of the Indian Civil Service. He rose to the position of Chief Secretary and member, Board of Revenue, Orissa.
1954 - 55 - H. MOHAPATRA Rtn. Mohapatra was a charter member. He was the Advocate General of Orissa and Justice of the Patna High Court. He became the Rotary District Governor of District 326.
1955 - 56 - Prof. P.S. SUNDARAM Rtn. Prof. Sundaram was Professor of English, Ravenshaw College, Principal, F.M. College, Balasore and then member, Public Service Commissioner, Orissa.
1956 - 57 - Prof. P.S.S UNDARAM He continued for the second time as President.
1957 - 58 - N.R. SWAMY Rtn. N.R. Swamy was for a number of years a correspondent of the Statesman and of the P.T.I.,
1958 - 59 - R.L. NARSIMHAM Rtn. Narsimham belonged to the Indian Civil Service. He became the Chief Justice of Orissa High Court and Patna High Court.
1959 - 60 - G.C.DAS Rtn. G.C. Das was an Advocate Practicing in the High Court of Patna. He rose to the rank of the Justice of the Orissa High Court.
1960 - 61 - N. SENAPATI He became the President for the Second Time.
1961 - 62 - G.C.DAS He became President for the Second Time.
1962 - 63 - KHATAU SUNDERDAS Rtn. Khatau Sunderdas, commonly known as Khatau Bahi, is a businessman of important trading concern in Cuttack. The firm is known as Sunderdas D. Hunsraj. He is the senior most member of the club today and a life trustee of the Rotary of Cuttack Charitable Trust. He received “Four Avenus of Service” Award from Rotary international in 1998-99 and commitment to service Award in 2004-05. An octogenarian completed Golden Jubilee in Rotary.
1963 - 64 - S.K. RAY Rtn. Ray was an officer in the Indian Army. He had been trained at Sandhurst. Elevated to the rank of Lt. Colonel.
1964 - 65 - DINABANDHU SAHU Rtn. Dinabandhu Sahu was an Advocate. He became the Advocate General of Orissa and then Minister in the Orissa Cabinet.
1965 - 66 - DINABANDHU SAHU He became President for the second time.
1966 - 67 - V.K. RATHOR Rtn. V.K.Rathor was an Industrialist in Ice Manufacturing and Flour Mills, in the firm Bhima Ice Factory and Flour Mills.
1967 - 68 - M.W. KALAPPA Rtn. Kalappa worked in the Geological Survey of India. He came to Orissa to head the Map and Drawing operations.
1968 - 69 - V. RAMANATHAN He became President for the Second Time.
1969 - 70 - R.K.PADHI Rtn. Padhi belonged to the Indian Police. He rose to the rank of the Inspector General of Police of Orissa.
1970 - 71 - R.K.PADHI He continued as President for the second time. His Son Sri D. N. PADHI became the District Governor of R.I. District 3260.
1971- 72 - SUKUMAR SEN Rtn. Sen was working in a major Industrial concern, J.K. Straw Products of India Ltd., He had been the president of the Utkal Chamber of Commerce for many years. He became the District Governor of R.I. District 3260 in 1992-93.
1972 - 73 - B. K.  MOHANTY Rtn. Mohanty is an Advocate. He has been given the status of a Senior Advocate. He specialized in income Tax practice. He was also the Advocate General of Orissa.
1973 - 74 - R.  R.  SIKKA Rtn. Sikka was the Manager of the Titagarh Paper Mills, Choudwar on the other side of river Mahanadi. He died during the year when he was the President of the Club.
1974 - 75 - Dr. SADASIV MISHRA Rtn. Dr. Mishra was the Principal of the Ravenshaw College. Director of Public Instructions of Orissa and Vice-Chancellor of the Utkal University. He became District Governor of District 326 in 1976-77. He was the president of the All India Economics Association.
1975 - 76 - Dr. R. K.  PARIDA Rtn. Dr. Parida is a Physician. He obtained his E.R.C.P. from England. He was the Professor of Medicine and Superintendent of the Medical College Hospital at Cuttack.
1976 - 77 - NALINI PANDA Rtn. Panda is a member of the Indian Administrative Service. He was on deputation for a number of years abroad. He retired as Chief Secretary of Orissa.
1977 - 78 - S. P.  GANTAYAT Rtn. Gantayat is a Civil Engineer. He retired as Chief Engineer under Govt. of Orissa.
1978 - 79 - Dr. SUKUMAR DAS Rtn. Dr. Das is a Surgeon. He obtained his F.R.C.S. from England. He was the Professor of Surgery, Principal of the M.K.C.G., Medical College, Berhampur, Principal of the S.C.B. Medical College, Cuttack and Director, Health Services, Orissa. After retirement from Government Service he is practising as a Surgeon. He became District Governor of RI District 3260 during 1981-82. He has been honoured with “Service above Self' award by RI In 1999-2000.
1979 - 80 - RADHIKA PRASAD NANDA Rtn. Nanda is in business. He is managing Orissa Wool Industries at the Industrial Estate, Cuttack. On his initiative Nimpur Village was adopted by the Club.
1980 - 81 - SHYAM SUNDER PADHI Rtn. Padhi belonged to Orissa Police Service and retired as Director General Police. He was a religious and soft spoken person.
1981 - 82 - GOVIND CHANDRA SENAPATI Rtn. G.C. Senapati also belonged to Indian Police Service and went on to become the District Governor of RI.  Dist 326 in the year 1987-88. He is still very active and never misses a Rotary Programme. He received “Service above Self” award from R.I. in 2001-2002.
1982 - 83 - RAMESH K. RATHOR Rtn. Rathor, a successful Industrialist in Ice manufacturing and still takes keen interest in Rotary movement. He believes in basic principles of Rotary.
1983 - 84 - K.C. MUNJAL Belonging to Steel fabrication Industry, under his initiative and leadership Rotary Volunteers from the Club visited African Countries taking up eye care projects. He received 'Service above Self' Award from Rotary International.
1984 - 85 - T.V.S. MANI Rtn. Mani had hopes in taking up different Rotary Projects but left Cuttack soon after his tenure as President.
1985 - 86 - S.S. SINGHDEO Rtn. Singhdeo, an engineer cum successful Industrialist in Steel manufacturing, was considered to be the moving Manual of Procedure in the Club.
1986 - 87 - JUSTICE ANANGA KUMAR PATNAIK Rtn. Patnaik was a successful Advocate of the Odisha High Court and then Hon'ble Justice of Guhati High Court, Orissa High Court and presently Hon’ble Justice of Supreme Court of India.
1987 - 88 - SHANKAR SEN AND S.N. SINHA Rtn. Sen belonged to the Indian Police Service but before completion of his tenure was transferred and PP Rtn. S.N. Sinha completed the year as President. He retired as Chief Engineer under Odisha Government.
1988 - 89 - DR. GOURI SHANKAR ACHARYA Rtn. Acharya is a medical doctor by profession, was Prof. and Head of the Department of Pathology, S.C.B. Medical College, Cuttack, retired as Director Regional Center for Cancer Research and Treatment, Cuttack and still he is active in his profession. He is well known as father of aspiration Cytology of Odisha. He received the “Four Avenue Service Award” from Rotary international 2003-04.
1989 - 90 - GAJANAND   AGARWAL Rtn. Agarwal is having multifarious business activities. The J.P.M. Rotary Eye Hospital was one of his dreams.
1990 - 91 - YASHPAL KAKAR Rtn. Kakar was a successful businessman in Steel Fabrication Sector and at Present a member of Bhubaneswar Rotary Club.
1991 - 92 - PAWAN AGARWAL Rtn. Agarwal is a successful businessman in Aluminium Industry and takes keen interest in Rotary activities.  He was the Assistant Governor of RI Dist. 3260 and president of the managing committee of JPM Rotary Eye Hospital.
1992 - 93 - DR. SARAT K. SAHOO Rtn. Sahoo started as lecturer in College and then switched over to Plastic Industry. He has taken up many vocational activities in rural area, Kalan.
1993 - 94 - SURESH KUMAR CHOUDHURY Rtn. Choudhury is an Advocate specialising in Endowment. He has been associated with Rotary since his school days as a member of interact and Rotaract Club.
1994 - 95 - CHANDRAKANT DOSHI Rtn. Doshi, a successful Jewellery merchant became President in the Golden Jubilee year of the Club.
1995 - 96 - R.N. PANIGRAHI Rtn. Panigrahi an Engineer is attached to O.S.F.C., And contributed much of his time and energy towards functioning of J.P.M. Rotary Eye Hospital.
1996 - 97 - DR. J.P. DAS Rtn. Dr. Das was a brilliant student and was the first to start Cardiology Department in the State. He was the Professor of the Department and now runs a Heart Clinic Research Centre at Cuttack.
1997 - 98 - SASHI SEKHAR SAMAL Rtn. Samal an Engineer by Profession is associated with his manufacturing unit Electrical Switch Gears.
1998 - 99 - DIPAK S.  RATHOR Rtn. Dipak a successful Hotelier became President after 20 years of joining Rotary. He is taking keen interest in Rotary. On his initiation, a village Paschim Kachh was adopted by the Club.
1999 - 2000 - ASHOK CHINCHELA Rtn. Chinchela a chartered Accountant by Profession had a hard time tackling the Super Cyclone devastation but came out successful to become the first President of the New Millennium.
2000 - 01 - DR. PRABHAT KUMAR MISRA The eminent educationist occupied the post of professor of Chemistry, Principal, Ravenshaw College and President, Board of Secondary Education, Orissa. As a Sports Administrator, he held the post of President, Orissa Cricket Association and Vice President, BCCI. Received “Four Avenue of Service” Award from Rotary International in 2004-2005 and best President Award from RI Dist. 3260. He was the President of J.P.M. Rotary Eye Hospital and Research Institute.
2001 - 02 - MAJOR GENERAL BASANTA K. MAHAPATRA A soldier fought many a wars like China - 1962, Pakistan-1965 and 1971 for the country and rose to the rank of Major General in the Army and was awarded with Life Time Achievement AVSM.
2002 - 03 - DR.  B.S. MISHRA An eminent Ophthalmologist and eloquent speaker. He served as a specialist at the JPM Rotary Eye Hospital and Research Centre. He was Assistant Governor of RI Dist. 3260.
2003 - 04 - SUSHANTA MOHANTY Rtn. Sushanta Mohanty, youngest member to become President of Premier Club. He is in Tyre retreading business and also in Computer business. He is active in youth activities of the club.  He works and supports, never says no to any work. He is the Assistant Governor RI Dist. 3260 for the year 2005-2006.
2004 - 05 - DR. (Mrs.) SUBASINI LENKA Rtn. Dr. Subasini Lenka, Professor in Chemistry in Ravenshaw College is a dedicated Rotarian. She is affectionate, meticulous and brought the Club to greater heights. Because of her sincere participation and activities she earned good will of every one, she was the first lady President of the Club. She is the recipient of most prestigious “Samanta Chandra Sekhar Award” for outstanding research Work. She received “Four Avenues of Service” award from Rotary International in 2005-2006. Best Secretary and Best President award from RI Dist. 3260.
2005 - 06 - DR. PRADIPTA KUMAR JESTHI A renowned Educationist, Research worker and Educational Administrator. He was the Director of Higher Education, Dean Faculty of Science of Utkal University and President of Orissa Chemical Society. He was known for his simplicity, dedication, determination and devotion. During his tenure Club had conducted many projects and celebrated the Diamond Jubilee. He received “Four Avenue of Service” award.
2007 - 2008 - PROF. DR. RAGHUBIR DAS An eminent Orthopedic Doctor, who is dedicated to Rotary with his Ann Saramilata. He is associated with many medical associations. He received outstanding President Award for the year 2007-2008.
2008 - 2009 - SURYA PRASAD MISRA An eminent Lawyer who balanced his profession and Rotary activities. He became platinum President, as per grades adjudged by Dist. Governor.
2009 - 2010 - RANJIT KUMAR DAS A Banker who also took keen interest in all activities of the Club. A family truly involved in Rotary with Ann Chitralekha.
2010 - 2011 - MANOJ KUMAR MISHRA A Lawyer of repute, touched many areas of service activities during his tenure for which he was adjudges the Best President of the year.
2011 - 2012 - DR.  K. B.  DAS An Oncologist, Dr. K.B. Das as President took care of the sensitive areas of community Service during his tenure.
2012 - 2013 - DEVASHIS PANDA Last President of RI Dist. 3260 who is an Advocate with outstanding reputation in the Bar. During his tenure as President the Club has received 2012-13 Presidential Citation from Rotary International and New Club Formation Award from DG.
