About Interact

The Interact Club of Adamas International School was formed on 16th of February 2017 under the wings of Rotary Club of Calcutta Yuvis- Rotary District 3291.

The word "Interact" comes from Interaction = International + Action. The club is made up of students aged between 12-18 years. The Interact Club gives opportunity to do community service, helps people to meet new friends and develop leadership skills. Moreover it provides students with the opportunity to strengthen personal integrity, advance international understanding and develop individual responsibility. There are more than 20370 interact clubs across 159 countries with its strength ever increasing, not only quantitatively but also qualitatively.

Some Notable work-

A) Competition ORGANIZED

(International Peace Poster making Competition)

The Interact Club of Adamas International School organized a poster making competition on WORLD PEACE. The objective was to inculcate the idea of world peace in the young budding minds of the nation.

(SAEVUS: WILD LIFE QUIZ)

The Interact Club of Adamas International School hosted the Saevus Eco Achiever’s Quiz along with the Rotary Club of Calcutta Yuvis and the Innerwheel Club. The quiz was an attempt to make children aware of the environment and wildlife.

B) (Health Awareness)

Dengue Reality- -The Interact Club of Adamas International School took out a rally and created awareness among the public about the deadly and rapidly spreading disease, Dengue in the months of October-November. The students carried banners and slogans, urging people to keep their surroundings clean and free of mosquito breeding sources.

C) Donations-

1. Distribution of dog food to a Dog Shelter- -The Interact Club of Adamas International School Donated 25 kgs of Rice, antibiotics, gauge bandage, etc for the dogs of the PAWS SHELTER accompanied by PAWS Secretary LopamudraDassharmaBasu. The members spent some quality time with the dogs.
2. Blanket Donation at ADYAPITH- The Interact Club of Adamas International School visited Adyapith and donated blankets to the children there in the month of December.
3. Food Donation Drive - The Interact Club of Adamas International School donated money for the distribution of free food at Nimtalaghat street to the unfortunate. The members went there and distributed the food.
4. Fruit Juice Distribution -The Interact Club of Adamas International School made and distributed Rasna to the Security guards ,traffic police and other workers in the Rathtala area to relieve them of the scorching summer heat of Kolkata

D) Other Notable Service-

1. Plantation of Saplings- The Interact Club of Adamas International School planted saplings in the school premises and took a step towards the protection of environment looking forward to a ‘Clean and Green India’.
2. SELF DEFENCE-  Owing to the increasing number of crimes on women, the Interact Club of Adamas International School went to Gobinda Home and taught the girls some basic self defense techniques. The members were accompanied by Mriganko Sir, a Martial arts teacher of our school.
3. CONCERN FOR SENIOR CITIZEN - Visit to an old age home
4. Installation of Bird feeders in residential complex - To safeguard and give a boost to the safety of birds during their migration.
5. Inviting GROUP D staff members and their children to our school - Celebration of saraswati puja and giving them gifts as a kind gesture towards them.
